BlackBerry and BMW equal Big Business!

Last week it was announced that RIM and BMW were working together to let the BMW iDrive dashboard computer (Navigation System) access your BlackBerry via Bluetooth so that it can let you access your address book and also it will advise you of new emails received and read them to you.

This is a small step towards the inevitable result of having full blown computers in car dashes, whether they be running on regular operating systems or mobile ones.

Some may argue that this is a distraction or a safety issue, but if done the right way, it may be exactly the opposite. If the system can read your e-mails to you and eventually you can reply by speaking, then it will stop all the people that are reading and typing as they drive.

I believe they should bring on all the technology that they can put in cars, and leave the responsibility up to the users to be safe.
